I love many things about this photo spread: Claudia Schiffer, one of the original Supermodels of the 90's; a modern take on Frida; Karl Lagerfeld's dreamy, watercolor view.

Claudia captures so much in her pose - intensity, vulnerability, sensuality. Her gaze is as haunting as Frida's.

Frida's birthday would be today. She continues to inspire in so many ways and her importance as an artist and the impact of her work and her persona resonate in so many ways.

I love this song. I cannot stop listening to it, on repeat, while getting ready for work. And on the drive home - especially at night, with the windows down and the cool air swimming in, along with the sounds of the night passing by.

My NYC summer getaway is fast approaching and I am getting so excited! I find myself daydreaming of outfits to put together and spending time with great friends and getting/giving some much needed emotional love. It will come too soon and pass too quickly, I just know it.

To no one in particular*

I feel combustable- one small spark and we would be consumed, you and I. I feel when your gaze falls upon me, my skin vibrates below the surface, and I'm sure- if you were to reach out and touch me, I would dissolve into a thousand tiny bubbles and float into air.

I love so many things about this video (aside from the fact that I love this song), namely the background, the joy on the faces of a few members of the band, and the faces of people in the crowd. It's amazing how guarded we become when we know we are being filmed, and how open and honest our reactions are when we are oblivous and just witnessing a street performance of some local group of musicians.
